Nova Community Arts: Queer Zine and Collage Workshop

“In this 2 and a half hour workshop you’ll learn how to make a few different types of zines, using several folding techniques. Then, you’ll get to design your own zine using collaging, drawing, painting, hand-lettering, writings, etc. Finally you’ll use our equipment to copy your project and create an edition of zines. At the end of the class we’ll have a zine swap and you’ll go home with a brand new collection.”

Reminders Creative Reuse

“Join us at Remainders Creative Reuse for a night of experimental zine-making with the illustration couple Lili Todd and Keiji Ishida. In this workshop, you will collage old books and utilize assemblage items collected by Remainders to make a ‘garbage zine’ featuring your favorite songs. We will look at Lili and Keiji’s extensive zine collection for inspiration, and play with funky zine formats. Fold-outs, belly bands, flaps - let’s put it all in.”
