Get to Know Your Zinester: THISBRANDUSA

What would you like people to know about your zines?

Fuck Y’all Magazine is a project I wanted to make just for myself. Without the thought in the back of my head “will anyone like this?”I wanted to make something that captured my colorful randomness to a T. For me, it’s a statement about disregarding people’s rules and regulations for art and expression. I’m just putting things together that I think look cool without the judgement of other people. I feel like a lot of times when I put together projects like this I focus on what other people will think about certain things but I wanted to step away from that and just do me 1000%. Including having a very brash title like FuckYall.

I will also be selling my second self published art book We Live In Purgatory | Change My Mind. This book is a collection of collages I’ve made from 2016-2019. The book is based on my theory that we live an experience similar to purgatory here on earth. In this book I had conversations with prior about this theory through modern modes of communication like social media, email and text. These conversations were then made into digital collages.

Tell us about a zine maker or zine that has had an impact on you.
Toilet Paper Magazine is the first zine I ever saw that impacted me. The bright and shockingly random imagery spoke to me.
