What would you like people to know about your zines?
Our zines have been vehicles for us to reclaim and hold space for the wholeness of our identities, our healing, joy, liberation and truth beyond borders & beyond binaries.
Tell us about a zine maker or zine that has had an impact on you.
We are inspired by the brilliance of QTPOC zinsters and women of color, like @breenache @mah.lie.yuh. They hold the complexities of their truth and healing with big compassion & artistry. Also Faith G Harper’s zines related to mental health have been so helpful breaking down how brains works post trauma – on anxiety & stress. Something we both are learning to navigate.
What are you looking forward to at L.A. Zine Fest 2019?
What we look forward to the most at L.A. Zine Fest this year is connecting with folx and sharing our art, love, dreams, hopes and passion for creating beauty all around us.
Make sure to check out Retrovoyance’s table at L.A. Zine Fest 2019 on Sunday, May 26th at Helms Bakery in Culver City!
