Let’s Chat Mental Health: Centering Womxn of Color
Host: Kimberly Magana
The purpose for the “Let’s Chat Mental Health: Centering Womxn of Color” panel is to start having honest and vulnerable conversations about the lack of accessibility, the stigma, and needs of mental health help for Womxn of Color. Through my own journey to finding my therapist I realized how difficult it actually is for Womxn of Color to find a therapist that best suits our needs while also not burning a hole in our bank accounts. Which inspired me to plant the seed and inspire others to take that important step into getting mental health help. I want this panel to be transparent, real, honest, and most importantly helpful to other Womxn of Color. I will be providing a flyer at the end of the panel to all the guests/panelists with a few resources to hopefully help someone else access mental health help.
