Get to Know Your Zinester: Asterisk Press

Who: Asterisk Press

Describe what your zines are about in two sentences or fewer.
My zines are all very different stylistically and in subject, but most of them are goofy and colorful.

What would you like people to know about the zines you create?
Kid-friendly/all ages zines & comics that use a limited color palette and different mediums; they’re about anything and everything but I try to make art that makes people smile!

What’s the last zine you read that you really enjoyed?
I really liked Annie Yu’s (@curbsidetreasure) “Wonder & Wander in Japan (issue #5).” It’s a beautifully made, dense perzine where every element was thoughtfully considered—the photographs, illustrations, text layout, and calligraphy make it really special. I’ve been wondering how to use my personal writing/travel stories more interesting/accessible, but she makes it look really easy!
