The 2018 L.A. Zine Fest will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 6 pm. in the Conference Center at the Pasadena Convention Center. (It’s a smaller space than the huge exhibit halls you might be familiar with.
This year’s Fest will feature 200 zinesters, plus readings, talks, and workshops; zine libraries; the Wonderspace (free, hands-on activities); Playdate (independent arcade games); rad book bikes from F.L.O.W and AntenaMóvil, exhibitor art curated by Pengu Labs; a photo booth by The Kitty Cult; and MORE.
The Facebook event for the 2018 L.A. Zine Fest is here.
**NOTE: This year’s venue has a no-outside-food-or-drinks policy. There WILL be coffee, cold drinks, snacks, and sandwiches available for sale inside**

Where can I park?
Parking is available in the Convention Center’s underground parking garage for $13. Enter the parking garage off Marengo Avenue or Euclid Avenue between Green Street and Cordova. (To navigate to the parking garage, use the address 175 South Euclid Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101.)
There’s also metered and unmetered street parking around the venue. Please check the meters—not all of them are off on Sundays.
I don’t want to drive. How can I get there?
We encourage taking public transit! The venue is a short walk from the Gold Line’s Memorial Park and Del Mar stations and several bus lines pass by on Colorado, a block to the north of the Fest.
Can I bring in outside food?
Unfortunately, this year’s venue has a no outside food policy—kind of like a movie theater. However, there will be coffee, food, and snacks for sale inside the venue.
You can also bring an empty reusable water bottle and fill it up at the drinking fountain inside on the second level of the venue.
Additionally, there is food very close by—a Starbucks at the corner, independent coffee shops two blocks away, a ton of fast-casual eateries across the street in the Paseo Colorado, and even more block away along Colorado Boulevard.
What’s the accessibility situation with this venue?
The Conference Center is ADA compliant and holds four handicap-accessible restrooms (two on each floor of the venue). The event takes place on two levels of the venue; there are elevators inside the venue that go between each floor.
The venue’s lower level restrooms are gender neutral. All other restrooms in the venue are gendered. The space is not scent-free.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, not this year. (Service animals are an exception.)
