WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT THE ZINES YOU CREATE AND/OR WHY YOU ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO TABLING AT L.A. ZINE FEST 2016?: Our zines are created and led by *gender non-conforming, genderfluid, intersex, two-spirit, questioning, trans People of Color in LA, centering our identities & experiences. We create zines in order to provide resources, and education so that our communities can: resist oppression, develop community responses to violence, while building our resilience. We believe in using art as a tool for social change. We are visionaries. We believe in liberation. We dream of a world free from all forms of interpersonal and state violence, where our whole selves are held in all of our complexities. Our vision is to get free! We are excited to meet and connect with others at LA Zine Fest, so we can share resources, collaborate & possibly build towards collective liberation. We also know that there are not nearly enough zines that reflect trans & gender non-conforming communities and we want to help shift that narrative. Besides all that, we wanna continue to be inspired and inspire!
Get to Know Your Zinester features collages of the 2016 Fest exhibitors.
