Describe your zine style. What can we expect to find at your table?
my zine is chock full of bad jokes drawn poorly, you know, grandpa stuff! I’ll be bringing in copies of at least the last seven issues, some prints, a dirty tablecloth and an extra chair if anyone wants to stop by.
Where do you work on your zines?
mostly in my apartment. sometimes in bars, sometimes in traffic, right now, but never in church… cause I don’t go.
What are your three favorite small-press/DIY publications?
“perpetually twelve” by mchank, everything out of fudge factory comics by travis millard, and zines by michael sieben. also I like mine too (shameless plug).
What advice would you give to a first-time zinester or to an aspiring zinemaker?
there are no rules. anything is a good idea. there’s no money in it. those are the rules.
What’s the best thing that ever happened to you because of zines?
aside from meeting my favorite artists, some girl gave me her phone number.
