The Wonderful World of Rolnik
What was your first zine about and when was it made?
My first zine is about how conceptual art (for the most part) is just a big pile of crap.
Describe your most recent zine.
I’m in the process of finishing a collection of true stories my best friend Bryce and I experienced while we were in an underground rock band. We played over 100 shows in one year and still have vivid memories of Karen Centerfold, Monkey Bucket, and that club in Little Tokyo we used to call The Cocaine.
Of all the things you’ve ever made, zine-related or otherwise, what’s your one favorite?
I really like whatever I make next. I’d describe it, but I’m not quite sure what it will be yet. 🙂
Name three of your influences and how they affected your work.
a) Los Angeles – I’m constantly inspired by this city because of how awesome it is!
b) The artists I interview for http://argotandochre.com because they all follow their hearts
c) Rob Zombie: because he directs films, paints, and makes really shitty music.
